Valley View Baptist Church

Our church was established in East Nashville on November 16, 1958. We’re a gospel-focused, disciple-making church with Christ-centered worship. We achieve this with expository preaching, encouragement toward spiritual growth in small groups, and engagement with the world through evangelism, missions, and service.

The primary message of Valley View is that a person becomes and lives rightly related to God by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. This is called the Gospel. Our desire is to embrace this gospel message and present it both to Nashville and around the world.

A typical Sunday morning worship service begins at 10:00am and will last approximately 60 minutes. We sing a good mix of contemporary and traditional music (about 5 songs in total) that is led by our worship team, accompanied by keyboard, drums, and other instruments. We have a time of prayer, a Scripture reading, and then a verse-by-verse sermon from the Bible. Dress is come as you are.

There are Sunday school classes offered for birth through adult at 8:45 am on Sunday mornings. The main worship service begins at 10:00am in the sanctuary, and children are welcome with the option of nursery/child care. We also have a mid-week Bible study for children through adults that meets on Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm.

Valley View Baptist Church is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention and affirms  the statement of faith outlined in the Baptist Faith and Message, 2000.
